HR Manager

Are you a highly motivated, people-centric, and strategic HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you excel at building HR processes from the ground up while driving an inclusive and high-performing culture?

We are looking for a versatile HR Manager to take full ownership of the HR function in our growing 75-person technology company currently represented in 6 countries. 

You will be part of a small HR team, giving you both the autonomy and influence to shape, improve, and scale our HR initiatives and practices as the company grows.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, tests, and offers.

Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract top technical and non-technical talent.

Create and manage a seamless, engaging onboarding experience for all new hires.

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll

Administer compensation and benefits, including insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Conduct market benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages.

Training & Development

Identify training needs and develop development programs.

Implement learning initiatives to support skill growth across the organization.

 

 

HR Operations & Compliance

Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and systems.

Ensure compliance with employment laws across all European markets, including GDPR.

Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.

Implement performance review systems and manage performance review processes.

Employee Relations & Engagement

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.

Mediate and resolve employee relations issues through objective investigations.

Develop initiatives that strengthen a unified, positive, and high-performing culture across our international organization.

Drive employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention efforts.

Additional Responsibilities

Provide strategic sparring to senior leadership and actively contribute as a member of the management team.

Lead, mentor, and develop one direct report within the HR function.

Drive employer branding efforts to position the company as an attractive workplace in all operating markets.

Support organizational development initiatives, including change management, team development and leadership support.

Contribute to continuous improvements of HR processes, tools, and company-wide communication.

Participate in cross-functional projects where HR plays a critical role — such as workforce planning, office/people operations, and internal events.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally as an HR Generalist.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple HR functions in a small or mid-sized company.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices incl. knowledge of international labor law.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and HR technologies.
  • Comfortable working with tech-driven HR solutions and eager to use AI tools to enhance processes and decision-making.
  • People-oriented, results-driven mindset with a focus on employee experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience from a small HR department or within a startup.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Experience implementing new HR software and processes.
  • Experience working with AI-driven solutions, HR automations, or digital people analytics platforms.
